English Premiership club Fulham FC have been told they must pay the €4.7m they owe Olympique Lyonnais for the transfer of Steve Marlet.
Appeal rejected
Fulham had appealed to FIFA over the final installment of the €16.5m transfer. However, in announcing the rejection of the appeal today, world football’s governing body has said Fulham must pay the outstanding amount to the Ligue 1 team by the end of the month.
France striker Marlet became Fulham’s record signing when he agreed a five-year contract in August 2001.
