Funding for indoor football

Hattrick

UEFA has contributed to the laying of a new artificial turf pitch in the Latvian capital, Riga.

A joint project involving UEFA’s East European Assistance Bureau (EEAB) has led to the construction of a new indoor artificial pitch in the Latvian capital, Riga.

Mixed-fund project
The mixed-fund project was financed jointly by the EEAB - which for the past ten years has provided invaluable assistance to countries that emerged in the wake of the dissolution of the Soviet Union in the early 1990s - the Latvia Football Federation (LFF) and Latvian government bodies.

Transport and construction
The EEAB contributed just over €140,000 to the construction of the Polytan artificial pitch, as well as its transportation to Riga's Indoor Football Hall. The LFF contributed around €50,000 to the foundation work, and the Latvian government authorities allocated funds for the construction work.

Latvian campaign
This project helps continue the LFF's impressive work aimed at improving the quality of indoor and outdoor football facilities in the country.
