Jarolím set for Synot

Members

Czech club 1. FC Synot have appointed Karel Jarolím as coach to replace the sacked Radek Rabusic.

Czech return
Jarolím, a former Czech international, will take over on Monday after agreeing a two-year deal to return to the 1. liga for the first time since his departure from SK Slavia Praha in 2001. Jarolím, who celebrates his 47th birthday on Saturday, spent two seasons at French side RC Strasbourg as joint-coach alongside Ivan Hasek.

Disappointing start
Reserve-team coach Frantisek Ondrusek will lead the side in Saturday's game against FC Tescoma Zlín as caretaker. Synot qualified for this season's UEFA Intertoto Cup after finishing eighth last term, but went out in the third round and have only one point from their first four league games.

Players released
Along with the change of coaches, they have also released two players - last season's league top scorer Jirí Kowalík and Tomás Polách.
