Ricardo makes Racing move

Manchester United FC goalkeeper Ricardo López has returned to Spain to play on loan for Real Racing Club Santander.

Chances restricted
Ricardo only made a handful of first-team appearances for United last season after joining the English Premiership side from Real Valladolid and the 31-year-old's chances of action in the current campaign were further limited by the arrival of Tim Howard.

Attractive option
The opportunity to return to his homeland proved an attractive option. "Racing's officials have treated me really well and, the idea of returning to Spain was too good to reject," López said. "Now I just want to reward the club for the trust they have placed in me. That's my main aim."
