Article body
One-year deal
The 26-year-old central defender, who has won seven international caps for Serbia and Montenegro, has moved to Mönchengladbach until the end of the season, at which point the Bundesliga side will decide whether to sign him permanently.
Injury worries
Mönchengladbach coach Ewald Lienen swooped for Obradovic, who can also play in midfield, to increase his defensive options after Steffen Korell and Markus Hausweiler suffered serious injuries and Bradley Carnell picked up another hamstring problem.
Moretti to Bologna
Bologna FC have captured Italian Under-21 defender Emiliano Moretti on a season's loan from Parma AC. Moretti moved to Parma earlier this summer from Juventus FC in an exchange deal with Ghanaian international midfield player Stephen Appiah.
Replaces Castellini
The 22-year-old full back arrived at Juventus last summer from AC Fiorentina but spent the second half of the season loaned to Modena FC. He will replace Marcello Castellini, who has travelled in the opposite direction to join Parma.
Twente counting cost
AZ Alkmaar are counting the cost of Friday's 3-0 win against FC Twente after Olaf Lindenbergh and Barry Opdam both had surgery at the weekend. Lindenbergh will be out for a week with a broken nose but Opdam faces a lay-off of six to seven weeks after breaking his cheekbone.
