Slow start
After seven rounds of the new campaign, Slovan are bottom of the table and already out of the Slovakian Cup. Meanwhile, the club have new owners in the form of the Swiss financial group, UB Corporation.
Extra help
Ukrainian trainer Oleg Taran, a former FC Spartak Moskva player, has been brought in to help the team. However, Taran has not got the coaching licence required for Slovakia meaning he and assistant Serghei Bashkirov will be given other coaching roles within the club. The team's official coach will be Libor Fašiang.
