Two-year contract
The 30-year-old French defender ruptured a cruciate ligament in the first half of Saturday's 2-0 Premiership defeat by Middlesbrough FC. The former Olympique Lyonnais player, who moved to the Reebok stadium on a permanent two-year deal in the summer after impressing on loan, had a scan this morning which confirmed the extent of the injury.
'Massive blow'
Speaking to the club's official website, Bolton manager Sam Allardyce said: "It's come as a massive blow to the football club especially as it's an area where we are short in numbers." Allardyce hinted that the club might try and find an out-of-contract player to fill the gap.
