Return for Latoza
Žalgiris coach Eugenijus Riabovas has been hospitalised with exhaustion and is replaced by Kestutis Latoza, who previously held an administrative post at the club. Latoza led Žalgiris to their last Lithuanian championship in 1999 during his first spell as coach. Žalgiris currently lie fifth in the table.
Tavoras takes over
Meanwhile, relegation-threatened Sakalas have parted company with Romualdas Lavrinavicius, appointed in the close season. His place will go to his assistant Rytis Tavoras.
