Multescu sacked by Samsunspor

Turkish Super League side Samsunspor have cancelled the contract of Romanian coach Gigi Multescu.

Wrong results
Explaining Multescu's departure, club spokesman Ercan Ince said: "Since the start of the season, we've not had the results wished for despite people's best efforts. The decision was taken for the benefit of our club."

Only one win
Assistant coach Ertugul Saglam will act as caretaker coach until a replacement is found. Samsunspor lie 16th in the table with four points, having taken just one win and one draw from their first six fixtures. They are next in action against Elazigspor, another struggling side, who are one place above them in the table.
