Article body
RSC Anderlecht stayed firmly in control of the Belgian First Division with their seventh consecutive win of the season against K. Heusden-Zolder .
Racing clear
Anderlecht, who are also seven points clear at the top and face FC Bayern München in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday, were indebted to a Per Zetterberg hat-trick for the 4-2 success.
Zetterburg treble
The striker opened the scoring on the cusp of half-time before goals early in the second half from Igor de Camargo and Takayuki Suzuki turned the match around. Nevertheless, Zetterburg was on hand to equalise in the 76th minute and made sure of the triumph in the dying moments with his third after Ivica Mornar had increased the lead.
Easy win
Club Brugge remain in second place thanks to their 3-0 home victory against KSK Beveren on Saturday, when Gert Verheyen was twice on target and Andres Mendoza contributed with an own goal.
Thrilling fightback
Striker Cedric Roussel collected a double as third-placed KRC Genk scored four goals in the last 21 minutes to turn a first-half deficit into a thrilling 5-3 win against K. Lierse SK. The home team went into the break 3-1 up after goals from Gilles de Wilde, Marc Schaessens and Archie Thompson had cancelled out Mirsad Beslija’s 13th-minute effort. But Roussel slotted in after 69 and 79 minutes to level the scores at 3-3 before Marco Ingrao and Didier Zokora pounced in the last ten minutes to give the visitors a remarkable result.
Standard woe
The real surprise on Saturday was R. Standard de Liège’s third defeat in a row after they lost 2-0 at home to RAA Louviéroise. Nigerian Peter Odemwingie, who also scored in last Wednesday’s 1-1 home draw with Portuguese side SL Benfica in the first-round, first-leg UEFA Cup tie, opened the scoring again on 20 minutes.
Pressure on
Youngster Sammy Vandenbossche wrapped up the points with their second goal just before the final whistle, putting more pressure on Standard coach Dominique D'Onofrio, whose team have slipped to eighth in the table, eleven points behind Anderlecht.

Elsewhere, R. Excelsior Mouscron defeated R. Antwerp FC 2-0 at home, KAA Gent also collected a 2-0 victory – against KFC Germinal Beerschot on Friday - and K. Sint-Truidense VV drew 1-1 at R. Charleroi SC.
