Hansa find strength from within

Members

Bundesliga strugglers FC Hansa Rostock have appointed Juri Schlünz as their new coach, replacing Armin Veh.

Promoted from within
Schlünz, a 42-year-old former Hansa captain, steps up from his position as assistant coach to take the reins. He has twice been the club's caretaker coach but on both occasions rejected the job on a permanent basis.

Lowly status
Schlünz has signed a contract until 30 June 2005 and takes charge of a Bundesliga team for the first time. Hansa accepted Veh's resignation on Monday, with the northern club lying in 14th place in the Bundesliga with one win in eight matches.
