Away disappointment
The top-flight newcomers have yet to lose a game at home, but Saturday's 4-1 defeat at SK Slavia Praha left them without a single away point so far this season. Matejcek had only been at Opava since the summer and leaves them lying 12th in the table.

Surprise replacement
Former midfield player Schäffer has been appointed as his replacement. It is only his second coaching role, and follows a four-year spell outside football since leaving second division VP Frýdek Místek. Matejcek's assistant, the former Czech international goalkeeper Pavel Hapal, will continue in his role at the club.
