Zacharias, who replaces Georgia Under-21 coach Revaz Arveladze, takes over a side lying sixth in the top flight. The club have also re-signed Ghanaian international Nana Eshun.

Meanwhile, FC Torpedo Kutaisi, who lie one place behind Lokomotivi, have followed up the appointment of Brazilian coach João Paulo de Campos by inviting his compatriots Robson López de Silva and Erickson Martinho to train with them, with a view to signing in the winter break.
