Ruca spell
He replaces fitness coach Raul Machado 'Ruca' who took charge alongside senior players players Paulo Alves and Casquilha following the departure of Mário Reis.
Campos contract
Campos has signed a contract that runs until the end of the season and is returning for his second spell at the club. He previously led them from November 2000 until December 2001, saving them from relegation before being fired.
Cup loss
Gil Vicente lost against lower league club AD Sanjoanense in the Portuguese Cup at the weekend prompting president João Magalhães to bring Campos back to the club. Gil Vicente are currently 13th in the league.
