Reggina call time on Colomba

Members

Reggina Calcio have dismissed coach Franco Colomba, ending his third spell at the Granillo stadium.

Third spell
The result left Reggina 12th in Serie A with just one win from ten matches and Colomba's dismissal marks the end of his third spell in charge of the club. He was first in charge in 1997/98 when Reggina were in Serie B, then again two years later when he helped them avoid relegation from Serie A.

Fourth coach sacked
After dropping to Serie B the following season he left the club a second time but returned to the Granillo stadium in the summer to replace Luigi De Canio. Colomba is the fourth Serie A coach to lose his job this season after Héctor Cúper at Inter, Leonardo Menichini at Ancona Calcio and Daniele Bladini at Empoli FC.

Guidolin link
Francesco Guidolin, who is without a club since leaving Bologna FC just three days before the start of the season, is the favourite to replace Colomba. Ironically Guidolin could make his debut as Reggina coach next Sunday against Bologna.
