The transfer fee for the 21-year-old forward has not been released, but it is thought to be in the region of €1.5m. Bechmann has agreed a contract until 2008 with the Bundesliga club.
'Important piece of the jigsaw'
"We are very happy to have been able to sign a very talented player," Bochum coach Peter Neururer said of Bechmann, who has scored 12 goals in 18 Superligaen games for EfB this season. "He can become a very important part of the jigsaw here."
