VfL Bochum 1848 defender Frank Fahrenhorst has agreed a move to fellow Bundesliga club SV Werder Bremen next summer on a free transfer.
Four-year-contract
The 26-year-old has agreed a four-year-contract which runs until 2008. Fahrenhorst, a former German Under-21 international, has been tipped as a contender for the national squad for the 2006 FIFA World Cup on home soil. "My chances of playing international football are better at Bremen and the offer was convincing," he said.
