Veteran coach
The 55-year-old Hrebík has coached a number of clubs in his homeland, including AC Sparta Praha, SK Slavia Praha and FK Jablonec 97. In 2001 Hrebík was voted the second best coach in the Czech Republic after Sparta's impressive UEFA Champions League campaign.
'Well-known'
Dinamo chief executive Yury Zavarzin highlighted Hrebík's spell in charge of the Prague club as a particular motivation for appointing him, saying: "We realised that none of the respected Russian coaches were currently available and Hrebík is well known all over Europe. He took Sparta to the second group stage of the Champions League."
Prokopenko resignation
Prokopenko resigned on Tuesday after a disappointing end to the season for the Moscow club. He will now return to his former Ukrainian team, FC Shakhtar Donetsk, as sports director.
