Ignashevitch leaves Lokomotiv unexpectedly just a week after they secured their place in the UEFA Champions League first knockout round, where they will face AS Monaco FC. Capped 12 times by Russia, the 24-year-old joins CSKA on a free transfer having failed to agree a new contract with Lokomotiv.

Lokomotiv reaction
His previous deal with Lokomotiv was due to expire at the end of December. The details of his contract with CSKA are not yet known. "Ignashevitch did not extend his contract with Lokomotiv and will leave as a free agent," said Lokomotiv chairman Valeri Filatov. "I will not be hiding the fact that we had a problem with the player."

Aldonin deal
Aldonin, meanwhile, arrives in a deal that is thought to be worth around €2m. The 23-year-old, who has agreed a five-year contract, opted for CSKA ahead of a number of other leading Russian clubs, with FC Spartak Moskva, Lokomotiv and FC Zenit St. Peterburg all reportedly interested in the player.

Young player of the year
Born in Ukraine, Aldonin moved to Rotor in 1997 but it was in 2002 that he really made an impact, being named Russia's Young Player of the Year and making his first international appearance. He has won eleven caps for Russia.
