New men in charge in Russia

Members

Russian Premier League rivals FC Torpedo-Metallurg Moskva and FC Rostov have appointed new coaches.

Relegation avoided
Aleksandr Ignatenko was sacked by Torpedo-Metallurg last month, despite his side narrowly avoiding relegation by beating FC Spartak Moskva on the final day of the season. Petrakov, 45, was previously in charge of FC Tom, the first-division club he almost took to promotion to the top flight.

Shevchenko's swift return
Meanwhile, the 52-year-old Shevchenko, who was dismissed by FC Saturn Ramenskoye late last term, has been handed the reins at Rostov. Petrakov and Shevchenko's appointments are the fifth and sixth by Premier League clubs since the 2003 campaign ended in November.
