Bochum sign starlet
VfL Bochum 1848 have agreed a three-year contract with FC Bayern Munchen reserve forward Zvjezdan Misimovic, starting next July. The 21-year-old Serbo-Montenegrin has hit 14 goals for Bayern's reserve team in the German third division this season. Bochum are currently fifth in the Bundesliga, in contention for a UEFA Cup place.
Hamburg reinforcements
Hamburger SV have signed goalkeeper Sascha Kirschstein from third-division SC Rot-Weiss Essen. The 23-year-old will join Hamburg next summer on a three-year contract. The Bundesliga club also hope to recruit goalkeeper Tom Starke on loan from Bayer 04 Leverkusen, to replace Martin Pieckenhagen who will miss the rest of the season with a cruciate ligament injury.
Nice life for Scotto
OGC Nice have agreed a contract extension with midfield player Thibault Scotto. The 25-year-old has added 12 months to his previous deal which was due to expire in June 2006. Meanwhile, Stefaan Tanghe has signed up for another three seasons with FC Utrecht. The 31-year-old midfield player would have become a free agent at season's end but will now stay with the Dutch club until 2007.
Dica heads to Steaua
Finally, FC Steaua Bucuresti have signed attacking midfield player Nicolae Dica from FC Arges-Dacia Pitesti. The 23-year-old is one of the rising stars of Romanian football and has already been capped twice by his country. His former club will receive €200,000 for the player who was out of contract next June.
