Devine steps up at Larne

Irish Premier Division club Larne FC have appointed player John Devine as manager to replace Tommy Kincaid who resigned earlier this week.

Devine, 34, was capped once by Northern Ireland and will be assisted by team-mate Neil Candlish. Kincaid said that the team's loss of form has been a factor in his surprise resignation but insisted that he had left his post for personal reasons.

Recent arrival
Central defender Devine, only joined Larne in June after spells with Glenavon FC, Coleraine FC and Glentoran FC.
