Comfortable victory
Ivica Mornar sent them on their way in the 22nd minute and Pär Zetterberg increased the lead soon after. Ukrainian striker Oleg Iachtchouk made the match safe early in the second half and Walter Bassegio completed his team's scoring in the 66th minute. Mickaël Murcy scored a late consolation.
Goalkeeper winner
Second-placed R. Standard de Liège edged out KFC Germinal Beershot 2-1. Alexandros Kaklamanos struck first for the hosts and Uruguayan goalkeeper Fabian Carini hit the decider from the penalty spot after Robby van de Weyer equalised. Remarkably, Carini was not the only goalkeeper to score as Bertrand Laquait also managed the feat in bottom club's R. Charleroi SC's 2-2 draw with RAEC Mons. The wind caught his clearance and it bounced once over the head of opposing custodian Kris Van de Putte.
Easy wins
KRC Genk, in third, strolled to a 4-1 defeat of K. Heusden-Zolder with Cédric Roussel scoring once in either half, in between goals from Paul Kpaka and Justice Wamfor. R. Excelsior Mouscron, in fourth position, were also comfortable winners, brushing aside KSC Lokeren OV 3-0.
Brugge held
Ten-man Club Brugge KV were held to a 1-1 draw by K. Lierse SK. Rune Lange was first to find the net in the 22nd minute but Bjorn De Wilde equalised in the 28th. Brugge goalkeeper Tomislav Burina was sent off late on.
Kaiper goals
Constant Kaiper collected two goals in KSK Beveren's 3-0 win against R. Antwerp FC while in other games, Cercle Brugge KSV and KVC Westerlo played out a scoreless draw and K. Sint-Truidense VV beat KAA Gent 1-0.
