Fulham finalise Petta loan

Transfer round-up: Fulham FC have agreed a loan deal until the end of the season with Celtic FC's Bobby Petta.

Clubs around Europe have begun fine-tuning their squads ahead of the opening of the transfer window, with a number making changes in preparation for the months ahead.

Petta loan
Scotland's leading pair have both been involved, with Celtic FC agreeing to loan Dutch midfield player Boby Petta to English Premiership side Fulham FC for the rest of the season.

'Proven ability'
Petta has failed to make a first-team start for Martin O'Neill's side this season, but Fulham manager Chris Coleman was delighted with his signing, saying: "He has proven ability which will help give us some important strength and depth in the squad. I have no doubt he will be an asset in the coming months."

Rae for Rangers
Meanwhile, Rangers FC have agreed a deal with Dundee FC worth €355,000 for Scottish international midfield player Gavin Rae. The 26-year-old will sign a three-and-a-half year contract with the Scottish champions when the transfer window reopens, and could make his debut in Saturday's Old Firm game against Celtic.

'Terrific signing'
"I have no doubts in my mind that Gavin would relish the chance to make his debut against Celtic just days after signing for us," said Rangers manager Alex McLeish. "And I have no fears that he would be up for any challenge I set him because he is a great professional and someone I believe will be a terrific signing for Rangers."

Djurisic on the move
In Belgium, meanwhile, KSC Lokeren OV have announced the signing of Serbian defender Dusko Djurisic. The 26-year-old central defender joins from French side CS Sedan-Ardennes and has agreed a contract until the end of the season with the Belgian side, with an option for a further three years.

Brazilian boost
Meanwhile, several Swedish sides have been involved in the transfer market ahead of the new Allsvenskan season, with Malmö FF signing Örgryte IS's Brazilian attacking midfield player Afonso Alves and with former Swedish international Patrik Andersson – who recently agreed to end his contract with FC Barcelona – likely to join Malmö soon.

Djurgården return
Champions Djurgårdens IF have moved quickly to fill the gap left by Kim Källström, who signed for Stade Rennais FC, re-signing Abgar Barsom, who left the club in 2002 but who had his contract with Eredivisie side SC Heerenveen terminated last autumn.

All change
Last seasons runners-up Hammarby have signed FC Nordsjælland's Nichlas Hindsberg on a three-year contract, but have lost powerful striker Peter Markstedt, who agreed a two-year deal with Norwegian outfit Lyn FK.

Norwegian strikers
Örbero SK, have agreed to sign striker Christian Olsen from second division side Raufoss FK, who joins fellow Norwegian forward Petter Furuseth Olsen at the club.

Second signing
IFK Göteborg, who earlier signed Peter Ijeh, have agreed a three-year deal with Swedish Under-19 international Martin Smedberg, who has spent the last three seasons in the third division with Gunnilse IS.

Landskrona in action
Landskrona BoIS have signed Finnish international Antti Okkonen from Myllykosken Pallo-47, who is joined by Pierre Gallo after the winger signed from FK Bryne in Norway.

Italian loan
AIK Solna have announced that they do not intend to replace Swedish Under-21 international Stefan Ishizaki, who is joining Serie B side Genoa 1893 on a six-month loan.
