Sérgio Conceição leaves Lazio

Portuguese international midfield player Sérgio Conceição has left S.S. Lazio by mutual consent.

Lazio return
The 29-year-old returned to the Stadio Olimpico last summer after cancelling his previous contract with FC Internazionale, where he had spent two seasons. Sérgio Conceição was midway through his sixth season in Serie A, having first joined Lazio from FC Porto in 1998.

Limited chances
Sérgio Conceição had made just seven league appearances this season, five as a substitute. However, he is still expected to be included in Portugal's squad for the finals of UEFA EURO 2004™. He has won 56 caps for his country, scoring 12 goals in the process.
