News round-up: Two strikers are on the move, including Blackburn Rovers FC's Corrado Grabbi.

Serie A strugglers Ancona Calcio have signed striker Corrado Grabbi from English club Blackburn Rovers FC.

Poor return
The 28-year-old, who has penned a three-year contract, has been recruited to reinforce Ancona's attack, which is the weakest in Serie A. Grabbi, who scored only two league goals in two seasons with Blackburn following an €11m transfer from Ternana, faces a tough task at the promoted club who lie bottom of the standings after gathering just four points from their opening 14 matches.

Undisclosed fee
Another striker on the move is Groclin Grodzisk Wielkopolski's Adrzej Niedzielan. The 24-year-old Polish international today signed a two-and-a-half year contract with NEC Nijmegen for an undisclosed fee. The Dutch club's chairman, Hans van Delft, said of the signing: "A lot of our people have seen Niedzielan play and they were all very enthusiastic, but I wanted to see him myself first - to talk with him and look him in the eyes."

International duty
French side EA Guingamp have recruited Zimbabwe midfield player Harlington Shereni from FC Istres, the current leaders of Ligue 2. The 28-year-old has signed a two-and-a-half year contract, although relegation-threatened Guingamp will have to wait to field Shereni as he is currently on African Cup of Nations duty.

Kaladze out
Three Italian clubs will missing key personnel for forthcoming matches. Bologna FC midfielder Christian Amoroso will be out for about five weeks after tearing a muscle in his left thigh, while Udinese Calcio and Italy Under-21 midfielder Giampiero Pinzi has undergone cartilage surgery which will sideline him for a month. Finally, AC Milan defender Kahka Kaladze is expected to sit out up to three weeks with a knee ligament injury.
