The central defender has been training with his new team-mates at Leicester since agreeing to join the Foxes last week. Although he established himself as a key figure at St James' Park upon his arrival there in March 1998, Dabizas had recently disappeared from the first-team picture.
European prospects
The former Olympiacos CFP player has signed an initial six-month contract with Leicester with the prospect of renewing his deal at the end of the season if he settles well at the Midlands club. He is likely to be an important figure in Greece's UEFA EURO 2004™ campaign in the summer.
