Modena FC have signed former Italian Under-21 defender Alessandro Grandoni on loan to replace the injured Luca Ungari, who is expected to be sidelined for around three months.
Loan signing
Ungari underwent a scan today on his right foot which confirmed a fracture. Immediately after receiving the news Modena signed the 26-year-old Grandoni from UC Sampdoria until the end of the season.
Domizzi reunion
Grandoni is the second defender to move from Sampdoria to Modena in a less than a week following Maurizio Domizzi's loan switch. Modena currently lie tenth in Serie A.
