The 23-year-old has agreed a five-year contract with Shakhtar, and leaves his homeland after being voted Belarus's third best player of the year and the No1 performer in his domestic championship.
International pedigree
Kalachev, who has won 18 U21 caps and is set to lead the team at this summer's UEFA European Under-21 Championship, can play in central midfield or on either wing. He joins a Shakhtar side who are top in Ukraine, three points clear of FC Dynamo Kyiv after 15 rounds.
