Aloisi strike delights Osasuna

Members

The Primera División's top two were held in the Spanish Cup as Real Madrid CF and Valencia CF both drew.

Osasuna comeback
The match of the night saw CA Osasuna, themselves enjoying a fine campaign in fourth place, come from two down to draw 2-2 with Valencia. Goals from Miguel Ángel Angulo and Rubén Baraja put the hosts in the driving seat but Webo reduced the deficit on the hour and Australian striker John Aloisi drove in an equaliser three minutes from time. Valencia defender Curro Torres was sent off and will miss next week's second leg.

Madrid draw
A weakened Madrid side drew 1-1 at second division SD Eibar, scraping a draw in a match which saw an inspirational performance from goalkeeper Iker Casillas. Guti fired Madrid ahead on 37 minutes but Roberto Cuevas headed an equaliser just before half-time.

Valuable win
Elsewhere, RC Celta de Vigo secured a valuable 1-0 away win at Málaga CF to ease the pressure on coach Miguel Ángel Lotina, Rogeiro Vagner's spectacular long-range strike settling the match, and Real Zaragoza were 3-1 winners at home against Real Betis Balompié. Finally, the match between Deportivo Alavés and Real Valladolid CF ended goalless.
