Busy day of transfers

uefa.com rounds up the transfer deals completed around Europe on Friday as the deadline looms.

As the winter transfer window draws to a close, clubs around Europe have been busy wheeling and dealing ahead of the deadline on Monday.

Jacobsen back home
Former Danish Under-21 international Lars Jacobsen has signed a three-and-a-half year deal with FC København. The 24-year-old defender has spent the last two seasons with German side Hamburger SV but failed to establish himself in the first team.

Graulund return
Another Dane on the move is striker Peter Graulund, who has signed for Swedish side Helsingborgs IF from VfL Bochum 1848. The 27-year-old forward, who scored nine goals in 18 league games during an autumn loan spell with Danish side ÅGF Arhus, has agreed a three-year contract. Helsingborg have also signed Erik Wahlstedt on a two-year contract from Esbjerg fB.

Striking replacement
Hamburg, meanwhile, have signed 20-year-old striker Vjatscheslaw Gleb from VfB Stuttgart. The Belarussian Under-21 international, whose brother Aleksandr Gleb is a key figure in Stuttgart's midfield, has signed a contract until 2006 with his new club.

Ancona in action
Ancona Calcio have been busy. As well as loaning one striker, Salvatore Bruno, to AS Bari and another, Daniele Degano, to Parma AC, they have acquired Calgiari Calcio forward Cristian Bucchi in a swap deal which sends 34-year-old defender Roberto Maltagliati the opposite way. Also in Italy, UC Sampdoria have signed 20-year-old forward Antonio Floro Flores on loan from SSC Napoli until the end of the season.

Freund reunited
Former Tottenham Hotspur FC midfield player Steffen Freund has made a surprise return to the English Premiership, agreeing a short-term contract with Leicester City FC. The German midfield player, who leaves 1. FC Kaiserslautern, will be with Leicester until the end of the season.

Anfang out
Another player leaving Kaiserslautern is Markus Anfang, who has signed for FC Energie Cottbus until 2005. The 29-year-old was released on a free transfer.

Berglund boost
Swedish striker Fredrik Berglund has left Dutch side Roda JC and signed for Danish side EfB. Berglund was Roda's most expensive signing when he joined from IF Elfsborg in 2001, but he returned to Elfsborg on loan last season. He has signed a three-and-a-half year contract with EfB.

Defensive reinforcements
FC Torpedo Moskva have signed 23-year-old Romanian international defender Cristian Dancia on a three-year contract. Dancia, who leaves FC Arges-Dacia Pitesti, will link up with Estonia defender Andrei Stepanov, who left FC Flora to join Torpedo on Thursday.

Short-term deal
Hibernian FC have signed Scotland defender Gary Caldwell until the end of the season. The 21-year-old, who spent three months on loan at Hibernian in 2002, negotiatiated an early release from his contract with Newcastle United FC.

Loan deals
Wagneau Eloi has agreed a five-month contract with former club FC Lens. SV Austria Salzburg, meanwhile, have signed Chilean striker Mario Salgado on loan from Brescia Calcio, and have agreed a similar deal with SC Corinthians Paulista for Brazilian midfield player Juliano Goncalves. Both players were already on loan elsewhere, at Hellas-Verona FC and Uniäo São João EC respectively.
