Fulham FC have signed teenage striker Collins John from Dutch side FC Twente.
Unveiled on Saturday
The English Premiership side, who until recently had Scottish international John Collins in their ranks, agreed an undisclosed fee for the 18-year-old on Friday night before he was unveiled prior to the home match against Tottenham Hotspur FC on Saturday.
Four and a half years
The 18-year-old, who has scored nine goals in 18 appearances this season for Twente, has signed a four-and-a-half year contract and will help replace French striker Louis Saha, who this month left Fulham for Manchester United FC.
'Best of luck'
Twente technical director Johan Plageman said of Liberian-born John, who first came to the Netherlands as an asylum seeker :"Looking at the financial situation of FC Twente this transfer is a good thing. Playing-wise we regret the departure of Collins but we wish him the best of luck in England."
