Anderlecht move 12 points clear

Members

RSC Anderlecht went further ahead in the Belgian First Division after a 2-0 win against KAA Gent.

Mornar decider
Korean international Ki-Hyeon Seol opened the scoring in the third minute but the home team could not be sure of their triumph until Ivica Mornar doubled the advantage 18 minutes from time.

Standard draw
The result meant that Anderlecht extended the gap at the summit to 12 points as second-placed R. Standard de Liège only drew 1-1 away against KSC Lokeren OV. The hosts struck first ten minutes before the break through Rúnar Kristinsson but Mohammed Aliyu-Dati equalised early in the second half.

Pioroni hat-trick
Luigi Pieroni turned out to be a hat-trick hero as R. Excelsior Mouscron, in fourth, ran out 3-2 winners against RAEC Mons. The striker picked up all three of his goals after the interval. Zoran Ban pulled back two at the death but the victory had already been sealed.

Two doubles
Club Brugge KV, in fifth, were also in the goals, collecting five of them without reply against Cercle Brugge KSV. Gert Verheyen and Andrés Mendoza both scored twice after Phillipe Clement had given their side the lead.

Goals galore
Another high scoring encounter was R. Charleroi SC's 4-3 defeat of KRC Genk. Victor Ikpeba and Michael Ciani picked up a goal each while Adekamni Olufade was twice on target. Kevin Chantelle, Thomas Vandenbergh and Cédric Roussell were on the scoresheet for Genk.

Other games
In other games, KFC Germinal Berschoot and K. Lierse SK cancelled each other out 1-1, as did K. Sint-Truidense VV and KSK Beveren. RAA Louviéroise overcame K. Heusden-Zolder 3-1 and KVC Westerlo sneaked past R. Antwerp FC by the odd goal in three.
