Broken fibula
The Belgian international sustained the injury in a challenge with team-mate Pal Dardai and x-rays later revealed that he had broken the fibula in his right leg. Goor has played in all 18 of Hertha's Bundesliga matches this season and his absence will be keenly felt as the Berlin club are currently bottom of the table with just 13 points.

Maltritz blow
Hamburger SV have lost midfield player Marcel Maltritz for even longer. The 25-year-old has broken his foot and has been ruled out of action for about ten weeks. "It is a huge blow for the side," said coach Klaus Toppmöller.

Alexandersson heading home
Swedish international winger Niklas Alexandersson is returning home to rejoin one of his former clubs, IFK Göteborg, from Everton FC. Alexandersson, 32, has lost his first-team place at Everton and today announced he would return to IFK when his contract with the Premiership club ends on 1 July, having signed a two-and-a-half year deal.

Larsson let-down
Staying in Sweden, Helsingborgs IF have told goalkeeper Fredrik Larsson that he has no future at the club. "We've come to the conclusion that Conny Rosén and Oskar Berglund provide better options for us," said coach Peter Swärdh.

Van den Eede out again
Dutch side Willem II will be without striker Bart Van den Eede for another month. The Belgian striker, who is on loan from NAC Breda, returned as a substitute against NAC after a month on the sidelines but immediately sustained a torn thigh muscle. "Bart is very down right now," said Willem II coach André Wetzel. "We did everything we could to get him fit again, and now this happens."

Finally, the Scottish Football Association (SFA) has announced that as a mark of respect for former Scotland manager Ally MacLeod, who died on Sunday, one minute's silence will be observed prior to the kick-off of this weekend's Scottish Cup fourth-round matches.
