Spasov targets title for CSKA

Bulgarian champions PFC CSKA Sofia have named Ferario Spasov their new coach in place of Alexander Stankov.

PFC CSKA Sofia have appointed Ferario Spasov as their new head coach. The former PFC Litex Lovech coach replaces Alexander Stankov, who resigned from his post yesterday.

Mladenov departure
Spasov has signed a two-and-a-half year contract and will also fill the post of club manager, with Stoytcho Mladenov having been released from his post.

"I hope results prove CSKA officials have made the right choice," Spasov said. "We have a large group of players at CSKA and I believe that with these players we can achieve our aims."

Title ambitions
Reigning champions CSKA are currently second in the Bulgarian league, trailing leaders PFC Lokomotiv Plovdiv by two points as they search for their 30th league title. The season resumes after the winter break in nine days' time.
