The 25-year-old Georgian international, who impressed in the recent Commonwealth Cup in Moscow which Dinamo won, has agreed a two-year contract. "The deal is confirmed," Daraselia said.
Courbis coup
Daraselia, who was also a target of FC Shinnik Yaroslavl, said he chose Alania because of their recent spending spree and the appointment of former Olympique de Marseille coach Rolland Courbis. Furthermore, Vladikavkaz is close to Daraselia's hometown of Tbilisi and he was offered lucrative personal terms.
Famous father
Daraselia is the son of former Dinamo Tbilisi and USSR midfield player Vitali Daraselia, who died in a car crash in December 1982.
