Lyon tamed by Saveljic

A goal deep into added time by Nisa Saveljic gave
relegation-haunted EA Guingamp an incredible 1-0 victory against high-flying Olympique Lyonnais on Saturday.

Seven-point gap
The Guingamp defender found the net with just seconds on the clock to condemn defending Ligue 1 champions Lyon to their fifth defeat of the season and ensure they slipped to third place, seven points behind leaders AS Monaco FC, who won 2-0 against FC Metz.

Le Pen double
AJ Auxerre climbed into second spot with a 2-0 win of their own against Stade Rennais FC thanks to a goal in each half from Philippe Mexès and Bonaventure Kalou. At the other end of the table, Toulouse FC sank to bottom spot after losing 1-0 to SC Bastia and Le Mans UC 72 slumped to second-bottom after a 3-0 defeat at the hands of RC Strasbourg, for whom Ulrich Le Pen scored twice.

PSG spree
The day's other games included Lille OSC's 2-0 defeat of FC Sochaux Montbéliard at the Grimonprez-Jooris stadium and OGC Nice's spectacular 4-0 triumph against RC Lens. But the weekend's highest scorers were Paris Saint-Geramin FC, who racked up six to Montpellier Herault SC's one at Parc des Princes, Pauleta and Danijel Ljuboja both scoring twice.
