Versatile talent
The 23-year-old Dane plays on the left-hand side, and is equally comfortable in attack or defence, although he has been largely used in the more advanced role this season. As part of the deal, Feyenoord's 18-year-old right winger Salomon Kalou will join Excelsior until the end of the season, with the option for a further year.
Injury problems
Feyenoord coach Bert van Marwijk will look for Mtiliga to solve his problems on the left side of defence, with Gerard de Nooijer, Ramon van Haaren and Ferne Snoijl all out injured. The club currently lie fourth in the Eredivisie, 13 points behind leaders AFC Ajax having played two games more.
