Stout defending
Holding a 3-2 advantage from the quarter-final first leg, Anderlecht were pressed back by the visitors in the opening half but held firm and the scoresheet remained blank.
Missed opportunities
The home side came more into the match after the break, and Ki-Hyeon Seol and Oleg Iachtchouk both had chances to make Anderlecht's situation more comfortable, but in the end a 0-0 draw proved sufficient.
Lead preserved
R. Excelsior Mouscron also held on to a 3-2 first-leg lead, grinding out a scoreless draw at Cercle Brugge KSV to reach the last four.
Late clincher
The only goal of tonight's three quarter-finals was scored by KSK Beveren, who defeated KFC Germinal Beerschot 1-0 tonight and 3-1 overall. Germinal Beerschot goalkeeper Luciano Da Silva produced a spectacular stop to keep out Igors Stepanovs' first-half free-kick, but Marco Né's 81st-minute effort confirmed Beveren's progress.
Champions progress
Champions Club Brugge KV overturned a 2-1 first-leg deficit to eliminate holders RAA Louviéroise 3-2 on aggregate in Tuesday's first quarter-final.
