Olympiacos CFP have announced that coach Oleh Protasov has left the club, with assistant Sinisa Gogic taking over on a temporary basis.

Olympiacos overtaken
The Greek side were overtaken by Panathinaikos FC at the top of the Hellenic National League following their home defeat by AEK Athens FC on Sunday, and are now two points behind the new leaders. Olympiacos have won the Greek title for the past seven seasons.

'Toughest title'
Protasov was philosophical following the announcement of his departure, saying: "I thank Olympiacos for our cooperation. I believe that this season's league title will be the toughest one the team has achieved in the last eight years. I feel bitter, because I leave Olympiacos in the most crucial part of the championship and I will have to watch my players' efforts on television. I regret nothing."
