Boukhari blow
Twente won 4-3 on spot-kicks after a 2-2 draw to seal their place in the final despite falling behind after 35 minutes as Nourdin Boukhari put NAC in front from Anouar Diba's pass.
Late equaliser
Peter Niemeyer equalised in the 69th minute, and it seemed Twente were on course for a victory in normal time when substitute Blaise N'Kufo converted Giorgi Ghakokidze's pass to make the score 2-1 eight minutes later. However, Johan Elmander created the chance for Pieter Collen to level for NAC two minutes from time to send the match into extra time.
Paauwe heroics
Neither side were able to find a winning goal in the additional 30 minutes, and the match was decided from the penalty spot. Twente goalkeeper Cees Paauwe was the hero, saving spot-kicks from Stefano Seedorf and Boukhari to earn his side a final place.
Second semi-final
Second division Sparta Rotterdam meet FC Utrecht in the second semi-final on Wednesday night.
