Matches rearranged
The FSSCG Executive Committee made the decision to appoint Rajic, who previously held the position of assistant general secretary, to the post on a temporary basis. Meanwhile, the Association of Serbia and Montenegro First Division clubs decided that the 22nd round of league matches will be played on 3 April after all games were postponed last weekend in the wake of Bulatovic's murder. A new date, 14 April, has been added to the league calendar to avoid prolonging the season, while all matches this Saturday will be preceded by a minute's silence in memory of Bulatovic.
Duut appointment
On a busy day in the Netherlands, Ruud Gullit has been fine-tuning his backroom staff as he prepares to take over at Feyenoord in the summer. Henk Duut, who played alongside Gullit in the Feyenoord side that won the Dutch league and cup double in 1984 and who is currently assistant coach to the Netherlands Antilles national team, has been appointed second assistant to Gullit next season, with RKC Waalwijk player Zeljko Petrovic already appointed first assistant.
Korneev called upon
Meanwhile, Igor Korneev will return to Feyenoord next season as youth coach. The 36-year-old former midfield player represented Feyenoord between 1997 and 2002, and also played for PFC CSKA Moskva, RCD Espanyol, FC Barcelona, SC Heerenveen and NAC Breda before retiring last season.
Kreek capture
Elsewhere in the Eredivisie, Willem II have signed Michel Kreek from AEK Athens FC. The 33-year-old defender, who has won one cap for the Netherlands, has agreed a two-year contract, to the delight of Willem II's head of scouting and technical affairs Gerard Wielaert. "Michel Kreek is an experienced player," he said. "We expect him to lead the team. He can be an example for our younger players."
Vrede suspended
FC Groningen have suspended defender Regillio Vrede after an altercation with team-mate Paul Matthijs at half-time of Sunday's match with FC Twente. Groningen coach Ron Jans felt compelled to send both players home, although the length of Vrede's suspension has not yet been confirmed.
Bakari back at Lens
Finally, Dagui Bakari has returned to Ligue 1 side RC Lens after irregularities in his loan transfer to Spanish team Real Valladolid CF were discovered. Valladolid had originally wanted to sign the striker as a replacement for Ariza Makukula, who will miss the rest of the season after tearing a cruciate ligament. However, FIFA have ruled that the move, which was agreed on 5 March, is illegal as it took place outside the transfer window and Bakari has rejoined Lens.
