KSK Beveren are well-placed to reach the Belgian Cup final after earning a 1-1 draw at league leaders RSC Anderlecht in the first leg of the semi-finals.

Penalty lead
After a goalless first half, it was Beveren who took the lead in the 70th minute after Par Zetterberg brought down Constant Kipre Kaiper in the area and Kanté Badjan Seydou converted the penalty to give the visitors the advantage.

Headed equaliser
Anderlecht equalised seven minutes later, Nenad Jestrovic heading in Oleg Iatchouk's cross. The return will be played on Friday 26 March in Beveren.

Brugge boost
In the other semi-final, Club Brugge KV secured a 2-2 draw at R. Excelsior Mouscron despite falling behind as early as the second minute when Marcin Zewlakow shot in from Christophe Gregoire's pass

Frenetic period
It took the visitors until 18 minutes from time to equalise, Philippe Clement heading in for 1-1. Mbo Mpenza restored Mouscron's lead four minutes laster with a fine shot, but with a further three minutes gone Brugge substitute Gert Verheyen earned his side a draw. The second leg is played in Brugge on Sunday 28 March.
