Replacements
Coach Jukka Ikäläinen has secured the services of 20-year-old attacking midfield players Robério da Silva and Aílton José Almeyda from CA Mineiro, Örgryte's feeder club in Brazil. The pair will complement countryman Paulhinho Guará at Örgryte, although another Brazilian, Afonso Alves, recently left the club for Malmö FF.
Loan deals
"They are the ones we wanted and hopefully they'll do well," Ikäläinen said. Both players have signed initial two-month deals which could be extended by five months should they settle at the club.
Lyn signings
Norwegian club SFK Lyn have brought two players home to the Tippeliga. While Øyvind Leonhardsen has sealed a three-year contract with the Oslo outfit, Jo Tessem has joined Lyn on loan from Premiership side Southampton FC until 26 June.
Mönchengladbach in mourning
In Germany, VfL Borussia Mönchengladbach are mourning chairman Adalbert Jordan, who died after a long illness on Saturday night at the age of 66. Jordan had been a member of the club's board since 1999, when Mönchengladbach were €15m in debt, and helped to bring stability to the club.
Contract extension
Defender Delano Hill has added three years to his contract with FC Hansa Rostock and is now tied to the Bundesliga club until 30 June 2007. The 28-year-old Dutchman, who moved to Hansa from Willem II in 2001, has not missed a minute of league action this season.
Injury setback
Finally, TSV 1860 München will be without midfield player Gerhard Poschner for around six weeks. The 34-year-old, a midwinter signing from Spanish club Polideportivo Ejido, requires ankle surgery having played only four games for 1860.
