Bologna FC moved away from the Serie A relegation zone with a 2-1 win against ten-man S.S. Lazio on Thursday night.
Signori scores
Lazio were looking for victory to consolidate their hold on the fourth UEFA Champions League qualification place, but in a game postponed from earlier in the month due to snow, they fell behind against the run of play on 34 minutes. Former Lazio player Giuseppe Signori claimed his 188th Serie A goal, a deflection off Jaap Stam.
Quick equaliser
Lazio equalised four minutes later when Bernardo Corradi's header was parried and Stefano Fiore pounced to score. But Christian Amoruso restored Bologna's lead on 65 minutes with a bouncing shot from 20 metres.
Mihailovic dismissed
Sinisa Mihailovic was dismissed for Lazio with 13 minutes left for a late challenge on Hidetoshi Nakata, and Bologna held on to move six points clear of the bottom four.
