Mixed day for Feyenoord

Members

Feyenoord have signed Dutch youth international Mark Otten but have lost Patrick Lodewijks until the summer.

Loan likely
The 19-year-old Otten, who can play in defence or midfield, has signed a three-year contract with an option for a further two years. "Feyenoord have been watching me for a long time," said Otten, who is expected to spend next season on loan at SC Excelsior. "And when a great club like this comes along, you do not have to think long about it."

NEC sign Boutahar
NEC have compensated for the loss of Otten by signing the RKC Waalwijk midfield player Saïd Boutahar. The 21-year-old, whose contract with Waalwijk expires at the season's end, has signed a three-year deal.

Feyenoord youth player
A Dutch Under-21 international, he started out in the Feyenoord youth ranks but only played twice for the club's senior side before moving on to Excelsior. He arrived at Waalwijk last summer and has made 29 appearances this season, scoring six goals.

Lodewijks injured
Meanwhile, Feyenoord goalkeeper Lodewijks will miss the rest of the season because of a persistent achilles problem. Rather than risk aggravating the injury, Lodewijks will now focus on getting fully fit for the start of next season.
