FC Utrecht midfield player Pascal Bosschaart has rejoined Feyenoord, the club who nurtured him as a youngster.
'Dream come true'
The 24-year-old has signed a contract until 1 July 2007 with an option for two more seasons after undergoing a medical at the Feijenoord stadium. The clubs reached an agreement last week but opted against announcing it until after their match yesterday, which Feyenoord won 3-0. "It's the ultimate dream come true for me to return to Feyenoord," said Bosschaart, who left the club for Utrecht in 1997.
Fractured foot
Midfield player Sebastian Schindzielorz is to stay at 1. FC Köln even if the club are relegated from the Bundesliga. The 25-year-old's contract was only valid if Köln remained among the German élite but he today agreed to stay at least until June 2005 irrespective of how this season ends. Having arrived from VfL Bochum 1848 last summer, Schindzielorz fractured his foot two games into the season and has not played since. "The club has always stood by me," he said.
Pennant staying
Finally, the Arsenal FC winger Jermaine Pennant has agreed to stay at Leeds United AFC for the rest of the season. The 21-year-old joined Leeds on an initial two-month loan in August and has been at Elland Road since.
