Article body
Feyenoord defender Ramon van Haaren is expected to be out for the rest of the season after damaging the ligaments in his right knee.
February injury
The 31-year-old left-back, who has played just 14 games since signing for the Rotterdam club in the summer of 2001, underwent surgery on Monday to remove floating cartilage that had been hampering his recovery from an injury sustained during the 3-0 Eredivisie defeat against AZ Alkmaar in February. Feyenoord doctor Robbart van Linschoten explained: "From that injury he has recovered well. But he kept on complaining about his knee, that is why he had to undergo surgery."
