Article body
Manchester United FC defeated Charlton Athletic FC 2-0 at Old Trafford on Wednesday to maintain their pressure on Chelsea FC in the race for second place in the English Premiership and automatic qualification for next season's UEFA Champions League.
Efficient performance
The English champions are now just a point behind Claudio Ranieri's side and will hope to overhaul the west London team in their four remaining league games. French international striker Louis Saha gave the hosts the lead after 28 minutes following great play from David Bellion and Gary Neville doubled United's lead after the break. It was his second goal in a week but only his sixth ever for the club.
