Emmanuel Olisadebe's late goal secured Panathinaikos FC victory and kept his side two points clear.

Panathinaikos FC substitute Emmanuel Olisadebe struck two minutes from time to secure his side an away victory against Proodeftiki FC and preserve their two-point lead at the top of the table with one round of fixtures remaining.

Crucial strike
Desperate to land their first Greek title since 1996, Panathinaikos took a 15th-minute lead through Ezequiel Gonzalez’s close-range volley. But Vassilis Spertos levelled the scores on the stroke of half-time and it seemed the visitors were set to drop two precious points until Olisadebe's crucial strike.

Play-off possible
Proodeftiki’s Kostas Frantzeskos hit the post from a free-kick in the sixth minute of added time but Panathinaikos held on and know victory away against Paniliakos FC next weekend will guarantee them the title. Second-placed Olympiacos CFP will play Egaleo FC at home, hoping the leaders drop points on their travels. If the sides finish level on points, a play-off match will decide the title.

Kapantais dismissed
Olympiacos remained in the hunt thanks to a comfortable 3-0 win at home against FC Aris Thessaloniki. It took almost an hour for the deadlock to be broken, Giorgos Georgiadis getting on the scoresheet on 56 minutes. Leonidas Kapantais was sent off for the visitors midway through the second half and then the defeated Greek Cup finalists cruised to victory, with further goals from Grigoris Georgatos and Giovanni da Silva.

PAOK in Europe
There was late drama at the Gipedo Toumbas where substitute Sladjan Spasic secured FC PAOK a place in the third qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League with an 86th-minute winner against Halkidona FC. Ebenizer Hagan had given the home side the lead but Dimosthenis Manousakis scored a spectacular 76th-minute equaliser to stir PAOK into action. AEK Athens FC also booked their place in Europe, securing a UEFA Cup spot with a 2-2 draw at home against OFI Crete.

Makor magic
Ionikos FC were the weekend's only other winners, defeating Xanthi FC 1-0 thanks to Oliver Makor's free-kick. Iraklis FC and Paniliakos drew 0-0 and Egaleo's home game with Kallithea FC and Panionios GS's trip to Akratitos FC both produced 1-1 draws.
